It's that time again, everybody: time to sheepishly visit Burger King every day and buy a Kids' Meal for Nintendo freebies, all while trying to shut out thoughts of how disappointed your father would be to see you like this. Shame, shame.

The fast food chain is giving away a bunch of different toys based on the Wii and its games, and all it wants in return is cash and a willingness to clog up your own arteries. We like the "Chain Chomp Launcher" the best, though the "Float and Go Boo" and "Light-Up Luma" are also nice. Plus, we can always keep telling ourselves we'll sell all this on eBay in the future for a small fortune. Yes, that'll do: it's an investment in our future. By now, you've no doubt heard: Nintendo is rolling out Club Nintendo in the U.S. by the end of 2008. Wahey! Yeah, we know that Japan (generally speaking) gets the most excellent items when compared to elsewhere, but listen here, bub: it's free stuff. We're not about to complain, and nor should you (if you want to feel sorry for somebody, Australia's Club Nintendo scheme has gone AWOL, and check out South Africa's piss-poor Stars Catalogue).

Anyway, as these are happy times for North Americans, we thought we'd reflect on some of the bestest Club Nintendo gifts and trinkets from both Japan and Europe to date -- some of which could end up in the U.S.! Hit the gray button to start DS Fanboy's whirlwind Club Nintendo Tour of Wonders!

It's been a while since we last checked in on Swedish/Japanese student Jenni Källberg, a.k.a Queen of Nintendo cosplay, but here are her two most recent creations: Zero Suit Samus (actually revealed last month), and her take on Princess Peach. What is it that elevates Jenni's cosplay above others? Simple: the outfits are obviously beautifully made, the props are brilliant (we really need a giant Goomba now, though yes, we know it isn't actually that size), and there's a sense of humor about her work. Well, Raccoon Mario's sudden appearance made us laugh, anyway.

Oh, and who hasn't encountered this problem? Just looking at that picture frustrates us!

It seems the glorious baked treat that Peach offered Mario at the end of his arduous Nintendo 64 adventure is long gone. She dumped his podgy butt in the moat and ate it all for herself, and seemingly continued to enjoy royalty snacks for some time afterwards. Peach has plumped up, and now you can buy her!

This eBay auction comes down to a matter of preference. Do you prefer slim, active Peach or hedonistic, pampered royalty Peach? Let you wallet do the talking. The idea of a plus-sized princess is actually pretty interesting. Someone should totally make a game out of it, although we're sure it'll never happen.

All of you out there getting their race on with Mario Kart Wii (hop online and play with us some time!), have you ever wanted to use a certain character, only to have your friend quickly select them like a dumb jerk? Well, now you both can be Princess Peach without starting a fight. Pulling off the glitch is incredibly easy, as you'll see in the video above.

It may take a village to raise a child, but it only takes three people to build one of the coolest custom computers we've seen in a long time. DS Fanboy reader (and prizewinner!) Jason Barnes, who posts as Ganthor, wrote in with this story, and we just had to share. Seems his friend Emily picked up a Mini-ITX motherboard and wanted a custom case for it, but didn't want to build it herself. Luckily, Jason did, and he recruited another friend, Jason Letterman, to help him get the project underway.

Once he had permission to build the case, Jason was free to pursue a dream: building a computer in a lunch box. Of course, just any lunch box wouldn't do; it had to be something special that suited Emily's tastes (which are clearly excellent). After taking some measurements and checking out the various Nintendo lunch boxes, he ordered the one shown above.

But that was the easy part!

The first thing we should tell you about this (linked) comic is that it may be a little unsafe for some conservative workplaces, and perhaps a lot unsafe for anyone who never, ever wanted to think about the Mario crew in any sort of a sexualized manner.

R.K. Milholland of Something Positive has often used video game references, and his cynical take on geek fetishes has cropped up more and more often since one of the main characters founded a phone sex line for geeks called Nerdrotica -- and it's that company's web cam chat that spawned this horrific look at a fetish we never, ever wanted to consider.

Ever.

When Japan-based 4cr staffer and elementary school teacher Vinnk tried using the Mario universe to teach his young students the English words for family members, he can't have been expecting a lesson of his own on the Mario family tree from a classroom of six-year-olds.

That's exactly what he did get however, with his pupils patiently pointing out that Wario, Mario, Luigi, and Peach were all siblings, that Bowser is either their father or uncle, and that Luigi must be older than Mario because he's taller. We're still no clearer on what Yoshi's role is in this incestuous mess, and it's not something we wish to dwell on for longer than is necessary.

We recently brought up the never-ending case discussion again, because, like so many of our readers, we just can't find that perfect bag that really reflects how we feel about the DS. That's why we love it when readers let us know they've taken matters into their own hands. We like to live vicariously through the crafters among us, because they design the most awesome things -- like these themed DS bags.

Reader Pamela made a bitchin' Peach bag for herself, complete with loads of zippers and pockets, and an extra bag for, well, extras (like her phone). To complete the look, she got Peach accessories for her handheld, and the result is pinkariffic. In fact, the bag was such a success that she ended up making one for her brother, and another for her brother's friend ... and they're all hand sewn.

Yeah, we're jealous.

Since when did Peach divorce Mario? Since when did Mario actually do something about the sexual tension between the two (other than in your disgusting desktop wallpaper of the two "getting down")? Regardless, Forbes has made up some wacky stuff regarding the princess of Mushroom Kingdom, ranking her at the bottom of its list of the richest fictional folks.

With a net worth of $1.3 billion, we're wondering where Forbes came up with the conversion rate on coins. Considering they're naturally created from thin air and by the very blocks of earth that make up that fine kingdom, we would think the conversion to our real currency would be low. So, we can understand how her worth would be on the lower side, but did they look into real estate value also? Come on, her castle alone has to be worth a ton.

Is this not the cutest frickin' iPod case you've ever seen? Martha Wozniak knits not only these Luigi-themed cozies, but Mario and Princess Peach pouches as well. If only they could fit a Nintendo DS, that would be perfect!

We're sure that many of you would gladly pay a king's ransom to secure one of these -- they look like great Christmas gifts -- but they're available on her Etsy shop for only six dollars each! Button your overalls and jump past the post break for images of the Mario and Princess Peach iPod cozies.

Peach's Final Smash maneuver isn't really in line with most of the other brawler's super move, as she lures her foes to sleep and takes the opportunity to gorge herself on the fruit by which her name is derived. Or, she could take the opportunity to launch her enemies into the stratosphere. So, it's a difficult decision to make: heal yourself or destroy your enemies.

If you're a Nintendo fan, today has been one hell of a ride. Now, we find out that Mario Kart Wii will feature bikes, contradicting the very game itself (it is kart racing, afterall). Still, variety is the spice of life, so we're not complaining. Well, actually, we'd like to complain just a bit about the release date being bumped back to Spring 2008, but we guess you can't rush greatness.
