Friday Video: Super Cock Fight Brawl

Now, we would never condone any kind of thing that endangers animals. We aren't PETA or anything, but we have a respect for our friends in the animal kingdom. With that said, we present Super Cock Fight Brawl, a parody on this week's obsession in the Nintendo world. This video is just so ... weird. We're equal parts fascinated and confused by the video above. We know it was made for teh lulz and everything, but we're more focused on the individual that made it. We'd just like to ask them why?

DS Daily: Such a Square (Enix)

There's a lot of potential Square Enix on the horizon. Between The World Ends with You, Final Fantasy remakes, Dragon Quest remakes, new Dragon Quests, Border of Madness, Final Fantasy Tactis A2, and Crystal Chronicles, that's quite a lot of DS love. Oh, and let's not forget Kingdom Hearts. So, are you a Square Enix fan? Friday Video: LEGO Donkey Kong

Aside from all of the blogging we do here at Wii Fanboy, our lives are pretty much a vacuum, as we lack any real kind of incentive to keep breathing other than how hard our overlords at Joystiq will beat us if our post count drops. It's just the way life is.
But, we do have a lot of LEGOs. And it's scientific fact that anything combined with LEGOs is pretty much the most awesome thing ever. In fact, we have so many LEGO pieces, we're certain we could do our own version of classic NES games with them. Just like in this video.

Friday Video: MySims is setting us up for months of addiction

Sure, we could have shown some other E3-centric videos here in our weekly spotlight, but we really wanted an excuse to talk a little more about the fun potential of MySims, which continues to bear a strong (though less anthropomorphic) resemblance to Animal Crossing. We even saw a little guy with a shovel in this trailer. Since there has been no real sign of Animal Crossing for the Wii, this looks ripe to tide us over while we wait. Who knows, we may even (gasp!) like it better.
Also, splashing in a fountain sounds pretty good right about now. Oh, July, July ... how you make us long for December.
Friday Video: Revenant Wings soars out of E3

Screenshot offerings were slim on the Revenant Wings front when it came to E3 media, but this trailer makes up for it, despite the lower quality. Obviously, we're Final Fantasy fans -- could you tell from the flood of FF-themed posts that occasionally inundates the site? -- but this game, along with Ring of Fates, is looking pretty good, even when we try not to be biased.Hey, speaking of, where was Ring of Fates? We could use some new media on that as well ....
Friday video: Blob-style

All new game announcements should come complete with video, just so you know what to expect. Since THQ has announced de Blob, we've uncovered this handy video that shows off the bouncing blobs. The best part? The game is apparently filled with praise. We always love it when a game tells us we're brilliant because we can manage to bounce off a wall. We just wish someone would do that in real life, considering that we often manage to bounce off walls there, too.

Since we talked a little about import games here this morning, showing off a trailer for a game often mentioned in the same breath as "if only" seemed appropriate for our video spotlight. If you're one of the four people around who isn't familiar with Jump Ultimate Stars, let us enlighten you. Jump Ultimate Stars is a fighting game packed with hundreds of manga characters. Selecting a video for this week's spotlight was somewhat difficult ... because we managed to stumble across some of the weirdest videos we've seen in a while. Take a moment to think about the magnitude of that statement. Around here, we spend all day immersed in the fruits of Miyamoto's brain (and other Nintendo goodness), and yet these videos were extra weird.Hit the jump for the full array. Friday Video: Passion burns and danger calls

We'll admit it: the video in this week's spotlight is a bit of a stretch, but bear with us and we think you'll agree that it's simply perfect. With this week's controversy over Manhunt 2, our colleagues over at GayGamer decided to delve into the history of controversial games, and they've dubbed this Night Trap week. Night Trap was an FMV-based game starring Dana Plato that is infamous for its overacting and horrible scenes. No, wait ... that's just our opinion now. At the time, Night Trap was considered sexist, ultra-violent, and downright shameful. My, how far we've come. Night Trap seems far less horrific than the slasher films we grew up watching, and these days, this sort of "violence" would be considered laughable in games. While this brief teaser gives us no real idea of how the finished game will look, it's still nice to see something from Mushroom Men. We can't wait to undertake massive backyard fungi battles. It's like all the mushrooms Mario's eaten over the years are back, and they're pissed off. Enjoy this brief bit, because it may be a while before we see anything else -- Mushroom Men is scheduled for the DS and Wii in fall of 2008.
Friday Video: It's-a me! On the PS2! And kind of creepy!

Normally we don't feature Playstation 2 games on Wii Fanboy (unless they're ported to the Wii, am I rite) but this week's video is all about someone we're all familiar with, looking somewhat less familiar. We're happy to feature games from other consoles when they're so reverent of our icons.
Garakuta Studio's Graffiti Kingdom allows players to make their own 3D characters for use in a platforming adventure. Someone went to the trouble of making a Mario that is almost dead-on. We say "almost" because the movements are slightly weird, but for something made in-game this is quite an achievement. It's good enough for a Graffiti Kingdom character, right? Check out the video of "Mario" doing some adventuring and some basically 3D Mario moves after the break.
And while we're talking about Graffiti Kingdom, we can't help but link to these fanmade versions of the King of All Cosmos and a weirdly accurate Razor Ramon HG-- how disturbing, as the King would say.
Friday Video: Konami Say Relax

Let the soothing music wash over you. It's no problem if you don't know Japanese. The narration will just be relaxing white noise for you. Just let the week's stresses dissipate. Maybe have some tea. Not being yoga practitioners ourselves, we have no idea if it's actually calming, but the video sure is.
Friday Video: The letter 'F'

If you're not quite comfortable with your ability to write the letter "F," then this is the video for you! Alternately, it could be seen as a quick test of the DS Browser's handwriting recognition. It was hard to tell, since we were completely focused on the Soul Glo commercial from Coming to America playing in the background. Check it out after the jump -- it's so short, you might even want to watch it twice.
