Goomba's Shoe a.k.a. The BOOT

Not quite a suit and not quite an item, but easily one of the rarest pieces of Mario gear. Known to the Japanese as Kuribo's shoe, this green wind-up sneaker is hard to come by. Even if you manage to give Goomba the boot (pun intended), you'd better watch your step (also, yes). Wearing it sacrifices maneuverability for the freedom to walk on sharp objects like spikes and piranha. Helpful or not, pause the game and dry off your sweaty palms; you'll be sorry if you let this one slip away.
