Cheep-cheep

Special characteristics: can leap ridiculously high out of water, endures boiling lava, looks like a fish

While not much of a threat in small numbers, schools of Cheep-cheep will occasionally attack Mario simultaneously, making them difficult to fend off or dodge. Some varieties are aggressive swimmers, but the classic Cheep-cheep lazily wades through the water and offers almost zero threat. Somehow they are vulnerable to fireballs, and somehow fireballs work in the water of Mario games.
