Job experience: Tennis (NES, 1985)

Without deliberately critisizing the duties of a tennis chair umpire, is it very much different from the job description of a lifegaurd at the beach? Don't you pretty much just mount an incredibly tall chair and monitor the people below you on the ground? We presume Mario plays the role swimmingly, though, being able to jump that high anyway.

To be honest, we don't see any reason why Mario isn't in every tennis game. It should be mandated. He just looks good perched up there on a pedestal, like some sort of tennis god. Plus, he's obviously an expert on the rules of the game, having prior experience as a... Well, nevermind. We don't really get it.
