Job experience: Super Mario Bros. & Friends: When I Grow Up (PC, 1991)

For a children's coloring book application, When I Grow Up certainly doesn't waste any time instilling ambition or anything. Don't get us wrong, directing traffic is an invaluable public service, but something about this picture deters us from pursuing it as a serious career. Possibly it's the fact that this box art features Mario being unwittingly plowed over by his crazed brother in a fire engine while two feckless silhouettes bear witness from an uninspired doctor's office. Seems like great reason never to apply for this job. And who are the so-called "friends" tacked onto the title? Where are they during this vicious atrocity? Color us bewildered. Or don't color at all. Or not with this game, at least.
