We're not talking about a Mario-themed pinball machine, or even Mario being a pinball repair man. He was a pinball. For as little sense as this makes, try to remember we're talking about the same guy who blasts himself out of cannons and dances around giant lava pits. Maybe he likes to suffer. And if you happen to enjoy giving him pain, namely by swatting him around with pinball paddles, Mario Pinball Land might suit your sadist fancy.
