At long last comes a Yoshi game all but absent of those traitorous Mario brothers and their selfish betrayal. Yoshi's Story illustrates an overdue mythology of the Yoshi species through the course of a halfway-decent platforming adventure. With the game's mediocre critical reception, though, one must wonder whether something crucial is sacrificed when Mario is left out.
