All of those record laps and perfectly timed power slides, all of the second-shaving trick boosts and wheelies rendered absolutely void by an unavoidable Spiny Shell slamming us to a instant stop just inches from a first place victory. Sent with a kiss from the chump in dead last.

This one is the most upsetting of them all. It doesn't even help the racer in last place. Unless its a really really close race, but then you may hurt yourself as well

I love it when I finish a race and all blue shells are routed to the racer in second place.

Don't forget the glory of hitting an item box just as you take first, only to be greeted with this. Then you can just shoot yourself! At least in DD you could swap it to the second position...
