Rainbow Mario

Super Mario Galaxy first introduced the rainbow star in place of the traditional starman, both of which grant Mario temporary invulnerability. Most importantly, though, with the newer rainbow effect comes a more realistic portrayal of psychedelia and hallucinogenic experience. Just look at those pupils. Gaping black holes. And hasn't the sole objective since the inception the Mario series been to accurately render the effects of psychoactive fungus? Probably not, and we don't really condone drug abuse either, but still. Prrrettty collorrrs.
