No coin indicators, no unusually placed background sprites, nothing. Just the deep blue sky obscuring an extra life in some physically impossible space accessible only by punching at the air below it. Anything seemed feasible in the Mushroom Kingdom after this discovery, and the imagination ran wild with possibility. Whether you caught the 1-up before it fell down into the nearby pit is another matter entirely.
