Super Wings (GBA)

One of the best shoot-em-ups and funniest games to hit the homebrew scene in years, Super Wings and its retro, Game Boy-esque graphics stormed the scene this year to take first place in the PDRoms Coding Competition 3.99. Shortly afterwards, programmer eKid recolored a good portion of the sprites and took second place in NeoFlash's Spring Coding Competition.

You can download the four-color and more-color versions from their contest entry pages. Even if you don't have a slot-2 cart to play homebrew GBA games, you can still load Super Wings in an emulator. You don't want to miss out on its wonderful, intentionally terrible Engrish!
