Big, big week fanboys! I actually have no idea which DS games I'm going to pick up this week. I want them all! Here's where I'm leaning... Mario Hoops and Mech Assault. Agree? Disagree? With so many new games (and so many potential good ones), let's turn this weeks comments into a discussion about which of these games is worthy of our hard earned dollar and why.

Unfortunately, we don't have any new DS games this week, but we have a couple of new Gameboy Advance releases to fill our time until next week. And they are AAA titles too. Who can resist the call of Skip-Bo?!

The only thing you need to know this week are these two words: "Star Fox."
Still here? Ok, maybe you need a few more words: "Go get it now!"

[Edit: Deleted Star Fox as a GBA release and punished our over excited editorial staff.]

Are you ready for some football? This week is all about Madden NFL 07, fanboys. I'll be watching the reviews closely on this one. I desperately want some portable gridiron goodness, but the inaugural DS edition of the game back in 2004 was a disaster of epic proportions.

A couple of new DS releases this week. I'm looking forward to the promise of Deep Labyrinth's old-school RPG action. The dual-screen wonder is in desperate need of more games from this genre.

One new DS game this week, Freedom Wings. This one enables you to live the dream of being a top pilot selected to bring sweet, merciless justice to the skies. Oh, and there's a handful of new GameBoy Advance games to check out too.

Slow week, fanboys. No new DS game releases. Maybe you'll want to treat your kids or younger siblings to a new GameBoy Advance game and let them use your DS? There are two new ones to pick from: Barnyard or Veggie Tales: LarryBoy and the Bad Apple. Come on you greedy fanboys, give the kids a chance to play too!

The lesser fanboys over at our sister-site, PSP Fanboy, came up with a great little question to ask all the PSP owners: What are the top 5 PSP games currently available? In the spirit of showing them who really has the best games, we thought we'd let the DS fanboys take a shot at listing out their all-time DS faves (one thing is for sure, the DS has its fair share of great games. And, with today's announcement, there are plenty more just around the corner).
DS Fanboy's Top 5 Faves (or Ed's anyways)
Now it's your turn to add yours to the comments below. Make sure you tell us the name of the game and why it's on your list of all-time DS faves.
Only one new game this week, Monster House. The movie isn't getting the best reviews, which probably doesn't bode too well for the game based on the movie, which hits theaters on July 21st.
"Monster House is a tale about three children who realize that their neighbor's house is really a monster. The game allows you to experience key moments of the movie as your explore the house and take on adventures."
If you pick this one up for your kids, let us know if they like it.

In case you didn't get enough Sudoku Mania last week, this week you can try Sudoku Gridmaster. Among both game's features are "mental anguish," "feelings of inferiority" and "brain hemorrages."
Of course, everyone is going to be talking about Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest with the movie due out in early July. But, I have to spend a minute and talk about Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. Rather than using swords, guns or fancy moves, in this game players use the "powers of rock and roll" to defeat their enemies. Your only weapon: instruments. This brings the band geek to a whole new level!

As we've talked about before, MechAssault: Phantom War is DS bound. It looked great on paper when it was announced months ago and it now appears to be coming along very, very nicely right in the middle of its development cycle. How do we know it's coming along so well? Because the developer has just launched a 6-part development diary via IGN.
If you're caught up in "Sudoku Mania," you can now enjoy the puzzle craze on your own, personal DS. But, if you're a sports guy, a real Ping Pong pro, then check out Break Em All. It's action-packed and promises to elevate the heart rate.
