Square Enix's new Lufia game is a Lufia II remake

According to IGN's summary of a Famitsu article, that's not the only change. The game is now an action RPG instead of a turn-based game -- with combo-based attacks, and the ability to launch enemies into the air, as well as switch party members mid-combo. In addition, it will be fully voice acted. Estpolis will be released in Japan on February 25.

This is why I love Square-Enix. Lufia was a great game on SNES, so even if this is another fried remake for SE long list, it's a good one.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUCK! IT TOOK THEM LONG ENOUGH!
Now they should remake the third game. Because that was damn hilarious.

This took really long, but it's finally here, even though I'm not really fond of SE these days but I'll take what I can after the abomination that Ruins of Lore was, I'll just erase that from my memory and call this Lufia IV.

Normally I'd be a little suspicious of them making this game an action RPG, but I don't remember Lufia 2 having the best RPG system around so it could turn out good after all.

I think I still have my Lufia II SNES cartridge around here somewhere. Sadly no SNES to plug it into, so a DS remake is good news for me.

Sounds interesting. I'll definitely look into it once it comes out.
