click for moon-sizeToday, XSEED announced a slight title change for the North American release of
Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. The company has chosen to go the same route as Rising Star Games and add the word
Dreams to the title. Along with the announcement, the company sent out the new logo. It's based on the
Japanese logo, but -- to be
extremely nitpicky -- loses something with the extra line and the subtitle font.
However, the
game, as seen in new screenshots below, still looks lovely. And that's the part that matters, regardless of our petty complaints. The new title
does have the bonus of making us think of Johnny Hates Jazz's "
Shattered Dreams." Totally great song.

There was not a goddamn thing wrong with the title as it was. What marketing geniuses think adding the word 'dreams' makes this a better title. Fragile. It's a great title. It's simple, and yet it say a lot. Fragile Dreams just sounds like marketing drivel.
I guess what, they got a bunch of panelists together and those people said they would be more likely to buy a game called Fragile Dreams? Whatever just release the damn game. I'll buy a sharpie.

The Japanese logo really is better in this case... I just hope they don't screw up the localization, too. I really enjoyed this game. Shameless plug to my review here http://ibarakigamer.com/files/fragile_wii_review.html
