You are not likely as hardcore as these Mario fans
You might have noticed a less than offensive Nintendo tattoo donning the image space above this sentence you're reading, and could very well be wondering why this is the case. As it turns out, the Super Mario Bros.-themed images of Princess Peach and a Star are a bit too graphic for use on Joystiq. They are, however, quite unique – rather than the ol' ink-permanently-embedded-in-skin treatment of traditional tattoos, the aforementioned two employ a method of tattooing that involves skin removal. Check out the original shots over at BodyMod.org if you want to see 'em, but click through at your own discretion.

Wow, I was not aware "hardcore" means "retarded" as well. The more you know!
dexatrosin @ Oct 30th 2009 12:39AM
obviously you don't understand. "hardcore" means "passionate", just because you don't have enough passion for something to permanently etch it on your body, doesn't allow you to judge people. lighten up.

YEH! I cute myself open because it shows I like it, you can't judge me because I am willing to mutilate myself for the cause of fashion, it's perfectly sane! gosh darn it makes me feel so edgy and hectic and misunderstood.

Uhm, Three Hearts is a staple in Zelda, that is probably a Zelda Tattoo and not a Mario tattoo, at all.

Read paragraph.
RupeeClock @ Oct 29th 2009 8:09PM
That doesn't excuse the fact that a Zelda image is not a Mario image.
Mystictrust @ Oct 29th 2009 11:01PM
...but it does excuse the fact that the three hearts can be explained as a "Nintendo"-themed tattoo while the more graphic "Mario" ones can be found in the links

OH LOOK,
...cupcakes
that was hot, but that princess & star thing WTF? nice detail, but whats wrong with regular tats? You gotta remove layers of flesh to be artistic? also, just like with tats... what are they gonna do when (IF) they live to an old age???
