Ten ways to spend your Internet Channel rebate

We've picked ten games that you may not have purchased yet. We didn't try to get obscure or anything, because there are only 83 NES games available! So this is basically a list of games we like that we think you're not so likely to have purchased, And there are no imports, because those cost 600 Wii Points.

I've never played a Mega Man game...
Do you have to have nostalgia to enjoy it these days? I'm considering it...

I don't know. I guess it depends on how much you like jump and shoot games. Mega Man 2 is a classic, but it is pretty hard too.

All I can offer is an anecdote: My one friend had never played a NES Megaman game before, and he thought it was gonna be all super simple, spanning like two or three screens, like an old atari game or something. When I let him play MM2 he was surprised how relatively complex and involved it really was, especially trying to get around boss patterns and such.

My recommendation goes to Wario's Woods if you're into Tetris like puzzle games. It's the NES game I've spent the most time on the virtual console.

Final Fantasy for me. Got to see where the fanship and Square's success came from, after all.

Already went home at lunch and spent it on Super Mario 2. I have it on GBA, but have been meaning to get it on Wii. BTW, already have all 3 of the classic Mega Man games.

I'm lucky enough to have Animal Crossing on GameCube, which gives me like 1/4 of Wii's Virtual Console, so that means I can spend my NES game in a better way!

It was a real hard choice for me to decide what game to get. It was between The Legend of Zelda and Metroid. I decided to get Metroid Seeing as i already played through LoZ and not Metroid. I think i made a good choice.

Gonna get Super Mario- I don't have it. To be honest, I've never actually played through the ENTIRE SM game. Hmm, guess I better do that as a duty to mankind (and video games).

The choice was tough. I decided to avoid what I already have on GameCube, (MegaMan collection, LoZ collection, and AC) which left me with Final Fantasy, Kirby Adventure, and Super Mario Bros. I went with SMB, cause it is dang near impossible to find a rerelease of it, and I already had the GBA versions of the other 2.
Still, that just reminded me of how much I sucked at SMB... I can bearly make it past World 1-2 without dying. >_

I bought Elevator Action a long time ago with fond memories of an arcade machine at an old department store. I regret it, though.
Personally, I would probably replace Elevator Action with Kirby's Adventure, but still a solid list overall.

After scoping the gallery, I'd say I need to get Zanac myself. But for others I'd highly recommend Hudson's original Adventure Island. Great challenging platforming, that will hopefully whet your appetite for the loving, dino-riding sequels and the under-rated Adventure Island Rebirth or Wii ware
