Epic Mickey in an epic sketch

In this time-lapse video (after the break), a Junction Point character artist draws more of the incredible concept art that has made Epic Mickey not just a licensed Disney game, but something that gamers are freaking out about. The sketch depicts Mickey Mouse facing off against a gruesome, but still recognizably Disney-esque, Beetleworx monster (a name given to many mechanical creations in the game), which seems to bear the head of Hades from the Hercules movie.This sketch may be the closest we've come to seeing Mickey's new design -- although it lacks the elongated limbs of the Mickey from the Game Informer cover. Is it just us, or does his face look a lot like Sonic the Hedgehog's?

Shouldn't it be the other way around, that Sonic the Hedgehog looks like Mickey?

Yes. I believe Mickey has been cited as one of the inspirations for Sonic (the Game OverThinker does a particularly good juxtaposition of the two in one of his videos).

Agreed, the way mickey moves his eyebrows has been around much longer than sonic. Is it just me or does it look like Mickeys eyes look black and not white with black? I always liked that look better.

But aubrey, the image is before the break, whereas the aforementioned video is supposed to be after the break.

Hercules qualifies as forgotten, i guess. Of their 90's movies (which seemed to be their most dominant era since the 60's), it seems to be least remembered.

He looks like Sonic because Mickey was one of the inspirations for Sonic's design. He was to be a blend of Felix the Cat and Mickey Mouse.

Even though that soundtrack sounds amazing and the sketch looks great, I'd still like to see some ingame screenshots/video before I decide if this is worth my money or not.
