Police raid home, raid occupant's Wii Sports leaderboards
Police are good at three things: protecting; serving; and bowling. During a recent raid in conjunction with several Florida agencies, officers came across the occupant's Wii console and, instead of ignoring it and going about their day, decided to turn the little white box on and throw down in some bowling with Wii Sports. What they didn't notice is that the occupant had a secret security camera set up that filmed every strike and gutterball, MSNBC shares. Busted!

Where is every national and local metropolitan news media's credit?
It's been all over the media, all someone had to do was open their eyes and/or ears.
Storm Eagle [Resident Capcom Megafan] @ Sep 22nd 2009 4:38PM
Massive lulz at the one jumping up and down like an idiot of he bowled a strike.
Congratulations. Not only did you get caught, but you jump like a little girl too.
Evil Bastard @ Sep 22nd 2009 5:46PM
I think the person jumping up and down was a female officer.
E.J. @ Sep 22nd 2009 5:52PM
You should congratulate him for an upcoming suspension, too.
rahmenxnoodles69 @ Sep 22nd 2009 4:48PM
Nice to know we have such a fine police force at work.
Keeping our Wiimotes from getting too dusty, making sure Wii Sports still works.
It's not like they have a job to do or anything..
Josh @ Sep 22nd 2009 4:51PM
Yes, Sheriff Grady Judd, they made a mistake.
However what you don't seem to realize is that people must be punished/disciplined for their mistakes. Otherwise *they're not mistakes*.
aj @ Sep 22nd 2009 5:14PM
Ah, Florida.
Donald @ Sep 22nd 2009 6:03PM
Stuff like this is why Fark has a "Florida" tag.

Wii: We even cater to the police and drug addicts!
(01) @ Sep 22nd 2009 5:44PM
FYI - Dealer doesn't equal addict
Just saying :-)

"Drug raids...evading gunfire...speeding tickets...sometimes you just need to unwind from it all..."
Wii Would Like To Play.
I'll take my wages in cash money and baked goods kthnx.
ecco6t9 @ Sep 22nd 2009 6:01PM
What about the criminal? Only the hardcore paranoid drug fiends/drug lords have security cameras set up like this.
Lets not forget the actual guilty party here.
Gastrodon @ Sep 22nd 2009 6:10PM
Best/worst cops ever.
ChuckBartowski @ Sep 22nd 2009 7:08PM
that newscasters voice was creepy...
playtoomuch @ Sep 22nd 2009 7:24PM
I wander if they will get their asses fired for doing that and mabye a faked the search warrent just to play wii.
Too many donuts made them just too lazy to just get a wii of their damn own.
thedtrain89 @ Sep 22nd 2009 8:07PM
The saddest thing about this is not that these cops were getting handsomely paid to play wii sports bowling when they were supposed to raid a drug dealer's home, but that they paid wii bowling for 9 hours when it was likely the dealer had other, better games. Or at least they could have played tennis or something, esp. multi-player, it's more fun.
rookies...
and f the police comin from the underground
Nook @ Sep 22nd 2009 8:19PM
damn, they should have smoked a bowl and fired up rock band, or got online with some mario kart.....after they smoked a bowl.
ThomasJay @ Sep 22nd 2009 11:34PM
Clearly, they needed the exercise.
Special Agent Steve @ Sep 23rd 2009 10:28PM
Hehe. My distraction worked, I got away. BWAHAHAHAHAHHAA
gatotsu911 @ Sep 24th 2009 12:25AM
This is by far the most hilarious thing I've seen all week. Thank you, Joystiq!! And thank you, policemen of middle America!!!
Puptronik @ Sep 26th 2009 3:00AM
I don't really think it's that big of a deal if they were just supposed to be waiting anyway. I do like how level-headed the sheriff seems.
Fudui2 @ Nov 15th 2009 8:52PM
Yea, the Sheriff is like " this should of never happened, what were these guys thinking playing video games on the job, how childish, back in the day we would never do anything like this, if we had down time, we would do manly stuff like drink, smoke and maybe play some cards while completing our investigation".
Roberto @ Oct 3rd 2009 1:06PM
*sigh* They didn't even get beyond wii sports.
...and that's the county I work in. Glad I'm only there one day a week.
