No More Heroes 2 supports Classic Controller, thanks to Monster Hunter

Suda 51 told 1UP that the Classic Controller functionality is intended to attract Monster Hunter fans, many of whom play the game with the Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro (which is bundled with Monster Hunter 3). It's a purely optional move that may help get the game in the hands of more people.

"including news about playable characters."
You just spoiled that there is more than one playable character. The Killer 7 as playable characters confirmed!

Aw, fuck, CJLopez, for some reason I was stupid enough to believe you were joking around with the whole "SPOILER" tag and now I'm spoiled. :(

Normally i hate reading articles about games with so many spoilers, Hell the only thing i saw from Twilight Princess before release was the Trailer and a few screens when the project was first announced, but im so excited and simply cant wait for NMH2:DS so ill take whatever i can get.
TwEE @ Sep 18th 2009 2:03PM
Classic controller support? Why?
esposch @ Sep 18th 2009 9:40PM
Easier to port to the PS3/360.

One major highlight for many was that the Wii remote added a lot to the series in terms of doing waggling right - not too much of it, and non-obtrusive to the experience. Now that the developer has given the green light for traditional controls, this increases the possibility of a "NMH HD" or something akin to it.
On a sort-of related note, I am getting the feeling that Nintendo realizes that it has to relent to third-party demands that a more traditional controller be more widely used by consumers in order to accommodate more traditional product (and to attract more quality third-party titles). The first was MH3 and then Sengoku Musou 3. I am sure there will be more (DQX for camera dual-analog movement and camera control?).
(I am well aware of Suda's comments about NMH2 being the last NMH on the Wii. My comment is in regard to porting/enhancing the previous game, or even this one, for the 360/PS3.)
(P.S. - I have a Wii, so I do not care too much if it ends up over on those systems.)

They figure if it works, why fight it? It would make the killing system boring, though, if it was just "press this button for finishing blow," instead of "slash up for finishing blow."
Unless they did it with the second analogue. That would keep some of the tactile thrill, i suppose.

I don't get it. Everyone says the Wii has no games. Then whenever it gets a good game, people whine and wish that it would come out on other systems. Doesn't make any sense.
Anyway, I'm sure the combat will be much mess satisfying without using the remote but it is nice to have the option.

Can't I am hurt, I like it, now if we can only get the Classic controller Pro here in the states!

Awesome. You don't like Motion Controls? There's a solution.
