Rage of the Gladiator monster elicits sympathy
In fact, he doesn't appear to have any throats or anything -- just eyeballs in the back of his mouths. When he eats, he just ends up cramming food right into an eye, which is futile, painful, and really unsanitary! There's no mystery as to why this guy is angry.

Hey All- Scott here. I'm one of the developers for Rage of the Gladiator.
Glad to see all the support we are getting, and I'm happy to answer any questions you have about the game.
Thanks!

Are you pulling my leg?

I've seen him post on a couple of sites to interact with people, so it probably really is Scott.
I have a couple of questions.
First, about the development, your site says that the game takes advantage of compression and "cool tricks" on the Wii. Can you give us an idea of these tricks?
Second, are some skills more effective against certain bosses than other skills?

Honestly, that seemed pretty cool in a Yu-Gi-Oh! kind of way.
I know that's not a clear description, but it has that outlandish cartoon flair.
ETERNAL DARKNESS!
YOU WILL DIE!
Just flipping out with one-liners... and that card at the end... and the Egyptian looking equipment I see on the character's arms.
I'm just really getting a Yu-Gi-Oh! cartoonish vibe here.
Which is a good thing. Nostalgia and all that.

Hey Scott-great to meet some of the people behind this exciting game. I had the pleasure of voicing a few of the bosses-Ixthid being one of them.Lots of fun! Ed Mace

How do you mean?

What is this game about?

I'm worried about how a nice big 3D game like this suffer having to be small enough for the wiiware size limit. Will content be sacrificed for detail?

Thanks for your questions.
1)"Can you give us an idea of these tricks?"
Well, we have benefited a lot from programs that allow us to compress video and audio files, so we have been able to include lush 3d graphics and an awesome soundtrack into a 40mb download game.
2)"Second, are some skills more effective against certain bosses than other skills?"
Certainly. Each boss has a different strategy and you have the option of using your skill tree to adapt to those strategies.

Thank you for your comment.
We were worried about that as well when we first started the project, but since then we have learned how to create a deluxe and fun to play game that does not sacrifice at all on quality despite its minimal footprint.
