Spiritual successor to Ace Attorney: Capcom's 'Ghost Trick'

To carry out his investigation, Sisel can travel back and forth in time to see the events surrounding his death. He can also possess objects and use them to change history. Takumi told Famitsu (as translated by 1UP) that he came up with the idea for Ghost Trick during the production of Gyakuten Saiban 3 five years ago, in an effort to make "a new type of mystery, something different in style from Ace Attorney." The style might be different, but the involvement of dead people's spirits in murder cases is basically an Ace Attorney staple.

While I really desire another Phoenix Wright game, this does look interesting, and better than any more horrid Apollo Justice games.

Apollo was just fine, I don't know what your problem is.

It was just fine, as a game. As an Ace Attorney game, it was vastly inferior (in every way). The characters were less interesting, the plot less coherent, and most importantly, the psyche-locke game mechanic was replaced with the bracelet, which was simply tedious.
I'm glad that, since we can't get the better characters in a new Ace Attorney game, we're getting something new, that I have a chance of enjoying as much as the originals.

I'm in favour of new IPs of sequels any day. It's good to see that such a creative person has been given a chance to explore another one of his ideas. I'll be keeping a close eye on this one.
