Final Fantasy Gaiden out in Japan this October

Speaking of Dragon Quest IX, this new game seems pretty well targeted at the Dragon Quest audience. We doubt it's a coincidence that Square Enix is releasing a streamlined, multiplayer version of its other major RPG franchise on DS three months after the release of DQIX. Looks interesting, but no co-op? I think I'll stick with the Crystal Chronicles games.
The whole loot grinding thing doesn't really work by yourself.

Gaiden means "message" or "story". The title "Ninja Gaiden" literally translates to Ninja's Tale.

The site's music definitely gives a DRAGON QUEST vibe. A neat mixture of DQ's 'cute'ness with FF's grandeur.
