Where's Waldo? On Wii, DS, PC, and Mac this September

The Fantastic Journey allows one or more players to search not just for Waldo, but for his friends and other items. The multiplayer mode features power-ups that shake opponents' screens or cover them in paint, freeze the search window, or enhance items on your own screen.
The first screens, available in our gallery, show the Wii version. We have to wonder at whom these are targeted: kids aren't going to remember, or even know, Where's Waldo, and the concept of just looking for a guy in a picture is kind of laughable now that the fad is over. Does that mean that this is intended to serve adults' Where's Waldo nostalgia? Is there such a thing?

wth? are you cereal?
why not go help NASA find the lost rover on mars? it's online, free, and more challenging with new images of the red planet being posted for the public to search for the little rover.
rockman @ Jul 16th 2009 2:33PM
Really? I'll have to check that out. What happens if you find it? Do you get an achievement? Or some NASA points?
Stix Remix @ Jul 16th 2009 2:41PM
So that's what kept delaying the launch...
Garst @ Jul 17th 2009 5:42AM
Actually, yes I am. And Garstoes is a much tastier cereal than it sounds. There was a mishap at the Trade and Patent Office and the name ended up sounding like gars toes instead of Garst Os.

Once it reaches super-bargain-bin status (say $10), I'm nabbing this. Where's Waldo was awesome, and if you don't agree, you're not.
Rob @ Jul 16th 2009 2:55PM
Awesome, I used to love Where's Wally. =D
@Li3nw@r3 @ Jul 16th 2009 3:35PM
And the sequel to this is gonna be "Where's DSG"!!
gayboyDS @ Jul 16th 2009 3:06PM
These games never really went away... you just had really look to find it.

OOPS! I meant:
These games never really went away... you just really had to look to find it.

Maybe it's because I was younger that I thought it was always tough to spot him, but in that pic I think that's him in the middle there.
He's really just not even trying anymore...
tetheredwings @ Jul 16th 2009 4:07PM
I wonder if it will have any "topless beach bathing" incidents in it that got the original banned. :P
Dom2D @ Jul 16th 2009 4:26PM
No it won't. :D
RupeeClock @ Jul 16th 2009 9:33PM
Are videogames becoming so prevalent that little kids won't even read a Where's Wally book?
This is getting sad.
Aivskar @ Jul 16th 2009 9:42PM
They learned nothing from the NES one?!
Danny @ Jul 17th 2009 7:12AM
I think it'd be a pretty good thing to have on the go, can't imagine taking time to play it on a wii in the living room though. Wasn't there a girl wally towards the end? Anyone remember the tv show?
JKAntwon @ Jul 17th 2009 10:30AM
my wife would love this!
ilovethewaggle @ Jul 17th 2009 10:39AM
So they're just taking the book form and making it into a videogame? interesting...How about a Where in the World is Carmen San Diego reboot first? Rockapella FTW.
avan @ Jul 17th 2009 3:33PM

Katha @ Jul 17th 2009 4:31PM
Oh dear. I loved the books, but a game?
Jedi_Liz @ Jul 17th 2009 7:27PM
I will put this on my TO RENT from GameFly list (DS Version)
Hey, I'd buy a Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego game, too, I LOVED those games for the PC.
