Nintendo Channel updated in Japan
Users can now select standard or high quality for videos, in a setting that is decided upon the first startup of the channel. Users can also make a "favorites list" of games in which they're interested. It is also possible to see more detailed records of playtime for games on your list. User rankings for games offer detailed information, like determining how much fun a game would be for one person vs. multiple gamers.
The interface tweaks, however, are more significant than they might sound. Searching has been improved, allowing users to find games based on title, genre, or publisher, and each game's information is easily accessible from any video or page about that game. The DS download service is also more centrally located.
Right now, the update is just for Japan, but it should make its way worldwide eventually!

Sweet! ...now how about thems wii demos...
Adv2k1 @ Jul 15th 2009 3:30PM
Amen to that.
It doesn't need to be huge demo's like one level or something.
Remember that the SD solution only places the game temporarily in the 512 meg internal flash. So any demo can be saved onto SD but need to not cap the internal limit.
I would hope that the DS demos are really fixed. So few games are updated on that thing and half are older games or Nintendo published games so it doesn't do much to interest me into buying new ds games.

That's cool. I'm interested to see what kind of "play records" they show... I guess it's probably just the amount of time spent playing. Have to wait and see (unless someone here knows Japanese?)

I do not speak Japanese, but I have read that it tracks total play time and number of times played.
