Celebrate the launch of The Legendary Starfy, only a month after it happened

The event will run from 1-3 p.m. and will feature Starfy-themed contests, face painting, balloons, and even a life-sized Starfy mascot character. That seems like a lot of attention for a game from a developer who usually doesn't even take credit for the games it works on. Good for TOSE.

I bought this game because I want to see the franchise succeed. The Kirby platformers have gotten to be very stale and repetitive, with several of the most recent games being either ones reusing graphics from the GBA era or just remakes, and Kirby Wii has been delayed for several years. The Kirby sidegames are as fun as ever, but Nintendo is out as far as it comes to a fun and easy first/second-party platformer not named Mario.
Starfy is just plain *fun* to play (despite its sometimes overwhelming simplicity) and given the first one to come out in North America is actually the fourth or fifth in the series, its a really polished series that offers the potential to grow in the future much more than Kirby does. I know some people will object to this post since I'm weighing Starfy next to Kirby and some people find the comparison invalid, but in terms of marketing and target demographic they're effectively shooting for the same thing, and Starfy is currently shooting a lot better than Kirby.

How big would the Starfy mascot be?

On a more serious note:
WHEN WILL YOU MAKE ANOTHER KIRBY GAME???????
Dv8thwonder @ Jul 7th 2009 8:12PM
I'd settle for a Wiiware Kirby at this point in time.
