PSA: Register your games for Club Nintendo elite status today

If you aren't yet at 300 coins (for Gold) or 600 coins (for Platinum), and you've got more games to register, get to it right now! If you've been thinking of picking up Punch-Out!! or something this week, you should probably do it today! Conversely, if you're at 600 now and you have more stuff to register, wait until tomorrow so it counts toward next year's total!
If you're not sure about the eligibility of an older (pre-Club Nintendo) game and don't want to waste time registering it, consult the list of eligible games in the "Product Registration" area of the Club Nintendo FAQ.

better luck next year, I suppose (Come on unregistered Punch-Out!!, Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports Resort, NSMBW, Endless Ocean 2, Sin & Punishment 2, Metroid: Other M, and Super Mario Galaxy 2! Papa needs a new Mario Galaxy soundtrack!)

Got my Gold Status!
I hope the difference between the Gold reward and the Platinum reward isn't extreme.
I also hope the Gold reward is something really cool.

in Japan the difference between Gold and Platinum for one year was different versions of the Mario Galaxy Soundtrack (Platinum got every song, Gold got a select few). Hopefully NOA doesnt pull that kind of bullshit and gives everyone the full soundtrack

Problem is that there're probably waaaay too many people stateside with Gold or Platinum status to offer anything too cool (since everyone's getting points for almost three years' worth of Wii games). Please prove me wrong Nintendo!
Then again, this being the first year, maybe they'll do something extra special to get people psyched about accruing points next year.
I'd very much like a SNES/SFC classic controller.

They say there is a limited window to opt-in for your free gift i hope they do that tomorrow cause id hate to miss the opt-in due to not knowing the date which they open it or to too much demand. Im at 360 points so i hope the Gold Reward is something worth my time.

Just got Platinum last week, i'm hoping they have cool gifts this year like Japan did. I know I won't be reaching Platinum again.

My guess is that the reward will be the Gold and Platinum Super Mario Galaxy soundtracks. We'll see.

I'm Plat, redeemed 600 points for the SM DS cart holder with stylus (showed up yesterday)....now I'm just waiting for the free gift announcement in the coming days. They seem to be getting around the massive volume by only having access for the gift for a short period of time...check your accoutn OFTEN overt the next week!
I really REALLY hope it's something cool and unique to commemorate the first CN gift.
You can redeem your points and still get the free gift, in case anyone is lost there. Any unused points just roll over to next year and statuses will reset tonight I think.

wow i logged in for the first time in 2 months and have 1120 points and like 150 more points in surveys that ill wait to take after tomorrow. guess i shouldve stopped at 600. I hope they put new prizes up for the new year cause i dont really want anything available right now except maybe the Hanafuda cards

I have a platinum and waiting to get to gold again tomorrow. I got the game and watch collection just for a collector's item, but I dont think anything outside of those cards are worth getting. i hope we dont just get, like, stickers or something.

Got my self Platinum Status (680 Coins) the week the DSi came out. Tomorrow, once it's reset to 0, I'll complete some surveys for some older games (Mario Kart DS, Phantom Hourglass, Wii Play, etc.), I'll have around 440 Coins, thus already past Gold status in 1 days. Plus I downloaded Detana!! TwinBee & Bit.Trip Beat this week, so I'll have around 460 Coins later, plus later next month, I'll complete the survey for PictoBits.
Hopefully, Nintendo will also add new prizes, because honestly, nothing looks interesting (save for maybe the Hanafuda cards)

Oops, looks like I only got 110 coins, as surveys only get you 10 Coins for older games & registering them went to last year's status. Well, least I downloaded some stuff, plus I plan to download more this month
