Click to Marvelous-sizeWe didn't
dare think it could happen, but when we saw the pre-order bonus for Japanese copies of
Muramasa: The Demon Blade, we secretly wished for Ignition (well, XSEED at the time) to bring something
half as awesome to us here. The bonus is a
five-foot-long scroll featuring a series of amazing pieces of character art from the game.
GameStop has just revealed the North American pre-order bonus, and it's
exactly that! We couldn't be more thrilled. Well, we
could be more thrilled if
two things happened:
- We confirmed that the back of the scroll had the same enemy and stage artwork as the Japanese version
- We found out that GameStop's September 1 release date (a Tuesday!) was the real release date for the game.
We've contacted Ignition about those two points. In the meantime, we can all enjoy the prospect of getting a really nice-looking free thing by buying another thing.

Arrgh... too late, I just pre-ordered the Metroid Prime Trilogy.

That is nice.
This is the kind of stuff preorder bonuses should be.

Swank. I'm going to pre-order myself this when I get outta work. Been interested in this one for a while now. Maybe this will tear me away from Fallout and all it's gloryness. Infamous was doing a good job of that, then I finished it and Point Lookout was released and sucked me back into Fallout.
Damn you Bethesda and your heroine known as DLC

Ah, Fallout. It's like digital cocaine.

If you don't want to give money to Gamestop try Amazon, they may also have the pre-order bonus. Also look into Best Buy, they pre-order some games too, it can't hurt to ask.

Is this only available by pre-ordering online or can I just reserve a copy at my local gamestop?

Between this, Scribblenauts, and The Beatles, September is looking to be like an expensive month for me!
Also, Muramasa reminds me that I still need to play Okami... blargh...

I don't even own a Wii and I'll pre-order this game for that scroll. I'm gonna play it when I get a Wii, so why not have it ready to go :)

Anyone have experience w/ Gamestop pre-orders arriving safely in the mail? This looks fragile...
I once pre-ordered a game from Amazon that came with an artbook and it arrived folded... More of the mail-person's fault... Amazon was nice enough to replace it...
