Bplus explains how to play Bit Boy
Nintendo Life spoke to Bernd Geiblinger, art director at Bplus, and got a rundown of the maze game. "As Bit Boy!! is a very old-school, arcade-style action game," Geiblinger said, "your main aim is to get the ultimate high score by rescuing friends, eating fruit and defeating monsters that roam the levels." As the technological level progresses, the protagonist Kubi increases in complexity as well, gaining access to special attacks and a jump move that allows him to "jump onto objects to hide himself from enemies."
Geiblinger also discusses some extra modes, as well as the chiptune-based sound design.

The idea sounds fine, but WOW were those later bits ugly.

Regardless of the fact it's an evolution of gaming.. Bits, Wiiware games still have a size limit unfortunately, so even the last "Bit" levels will probably be limited in their visuals.
That would be an amazing Xbox360 or PS3 download game I fear, since you can make the last evolution look amazing.
Still looking forward to it though.

Looks ugly in 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, 64-bit and 128-bit modes. The rest is all fine.
Oh, and the music sucks.

Agreed, the 8-bit in 3D really didn't work that well, did it!
It's like they tried to recreate the 4-bit monsters in 3D, which, as everyone knows... don't wurk!!

That's how you do an 8-bit character in 3D!
