VC Friday: Super Virtual Smash Bros.

Today's Virtual Console release is something really special -- something that only happens on the Virtual Console a couple of times a year: a Nintendo 64 game. And what a Nintendo 64 game! Despite having a day or two to change its mind after announcing, Nintendo of Europe has actually put Super Smash Bros. on the Virtual Console. Now you can play all three Super Smash Bros. games on the same system!

Joining it is Cocoto Platform Jumper, which isa middling platformer from last-gen. And on DSiWare, Sudoku 150! for Challengers, a collection of sudoku puzzles for 500 DSi Points. Also, Asphalt 4: Elite Racing, whose iPhone sequel was announced at Apple's WWDC event, before this game launched. Awesome.

happy for them.................

the USA got a hacked-in version into the VC around 10 months ago... it's a WAD file and legal for anyone w/ original cart to use (you must have HBC, cIOS 13 and WAD Manager 1.4)

nope. no matter what you can't own or distribute (whether free or not) back-up copies of games. its the law my friend.

@Wii60 ... yeah that rule of "legal if you own it" was made up, similar to the ROM/emulation "legal if you own it or you delete in 24 hrs" ... completely made up...

If you have the original cart why don't you play that? It's pointless risking your Wii and getting a felony over playing it on wii.

I DON"T USE THAT VERSION!!!!!! (i put my own ripped rom into it, thank you very much, i just used the banner/manual from the hacked one (thanks WADDER (i think it was))) i would use my original, but my N64 broke, and now it's in the attic collecting dust... i HAD a cart copier at one time, but it broke too....... :( :( :(

@ tuunicopapi, it IS legal to have BACKUPS of games.... (and the only reason i had the copier is because i wanted to mess around with the roms in PJ64 (Project64))
