Natsume announces new cheery, squishy games
Natsume's E3 lineup features mostly what you would expect from Natsume (Harvest Moon and lots of it, plus the previously announced Afrika on PS3), but the company revealed a few unannounced games, some of which are even surprising. The WiiWare Harvest Moon game, Harvest Moon Ranch Store, is being localized as Harvest Moon: My Little Shop, which is pretty adorable. The company has also announced a new cheerleading game called Cheer We Go for the DS, as well as Squishy Tank, a puzzle game about little animate tanks. If it looks familiar to you, you were probably a really attentive DS Fanboy reader: it's a localized version of Yawaraka Sensha, a licensed puzzle game released last year in Japan by Success.

Oh great. More Harvest Moon.
This coming from somebody who has painfully realized that her former favorite game has long gone down the toilet. That series jumped the shark long ago. Too bad it took me years of hoping they would make the series great again to realize that. Starting with A Wonderful Life, I haven't played a good HM in a looong time.

I totally remember reading about Yawaraka Sensha on DS Fanboy! That was the first time I had heard of the property and I instantly fell in love with it.
I'll have to check it out at Natsume's booth next week.
:D

"Oooh, because I'm going to E3, ooh, because I'm a douche and I'm not getting Josh in with me, wah wah"

A Wonderful Life was the last good game in the series, with it being my favorite. Ever since then it has mostly been down hill, for me at least. I got excited when I saw magical melody, due mainly to the Animal Crossing art style. But was ultimately disappointed by the poor controls and crappy zoomed in camera. Island of Happiness also had terrible controls, I didn't care for Tree of Tranquility's art style and story, and don't even get me started on Harvest Moon DS...
I did enjoy Innocent Life pretty well, but I am longing for the deep and fun experience I had with AWL.
