VC Friday: Pop Superstar and chiptune superstars

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is already out on Virtual Console in PAL territories, which means that we won't be distracted from the real star of today's downloadable game lineup, Art Style: PiCOPiCT. One part Quarth and one part Nintendo fanservice, this puzzle game uses falling-block shapes as the material through which Nintendo sprites are assembled. Perhaps more importantly, playing the game awards coins that can be used to purchase chiptune remixes of classic NES music (by YMCK) to enjoy in the in-game music player.Also on DSiWare: a DSi version of Gameloft's mobile adventure game Pop Superstar: Road to Celebrity.
