Madden NFL 10: Photos and videos

There's a gallery full of new Wii images below, and two videos after the break. You have three more months to get ready for some football, which really seems like a lot of time. Don't strain yourself.

As a NFL junkie and a Wii owner I must say that this looks pathetic, everyone looks deform and mentally challenge. They should have tried to make it more realistic even if it wouldn't look it.

I agree. I love the NFL and the Wii. I have Madden 07 on the Wii and it incorporates the Wii controls while keeping the realistic graphics instead of this stuff. I think Madden is a hard core game and it should have realistic graphics, but oh well I've still got 07.
Also that opening music is also the opening of an MLS (major leuge soccer) show. LOL

Come on, everyone knows the REAL reason that EA chose this "genre-defining art style" for the Wii version. It's because the Wii simply can't handle realistic graphics and if they tried to go the same route as the other console versions, it would beg too many comparisons. Comparisons which the Wii version would lose every time.

i've had every madden since 2001, but after being duped into buying the wii versions of 07, 08, and 09, i will not be picking this one up.
i'm not gonna buy madden for wii until EA puts SOME effort into it. just TRY to make it a good game. it's pathetic wut EA puts out every year and expect people to buy it. they wonder why it doesn't sell? it's a piece of shit product, with zero effort put into it.

Were you born dumb or did you choose that lifestyle? lol
The game looks fine. You want realistic graphics, you're looking at the wrong system.
And you complain about Madden games are always the same old thing yet this game is clearly trying something new, and is built from the ground up... And you complain about it...Cause you want new and different..And complain when you get it.

@hardy
thanks for putting words in my mouth. i said NOTHING about graphics and the design of the artstyle. in fact, graphics are the furthest thing from my mind when i talk about how poor the madden wii games have been.
fact is, the gameplay is awful. they don't use the next-gen engine for fuck's sake. if i wanted to play the gamecube engine, i'll play madden 2005. EA literally takes the last-gen engine, updates the roster, and sells it for 50 dollars every year.
so my advice you, is shut the fuck up if you don't know wut you're talking about.
"The game looks fine. You want realistic graphics, you're looking at the wrong system."
never said it didn't look fine. i don't give a shit about realistic graphics.
"And you complain about Madden games are always the same old thing yet this game is clearly trying something new, and is built from the ground up... And you complain about it...Cause you want new and different..And complain when you get it."
it IS the same old thing every year on the wii. and this year it's THE SAME THING. it's a roster update with cartoony graphics. great. maybe i'd buy it if the AI on blocking was fixed. it's been broken since madden 01, maybe before that. maybe give us the engine of the game that the other consoles have so i don't have to learn two versions of the game.
this is NOT a new madden. it just looks different. the gameplay has ALWAYS been the biggest problem, and they NEVER fix it. but go on, hardy, keep talking.

Why does EVERYBODY hate on this? I think it looks pretty damned good. I loved NFL Street, and this is sort of that art style, but I always thought the Street games were extremely unbalanced. If I get a more balanced version of that, I'm sold.
Plus I agree with Hardy. The Madden series has had little to no change over the past 10 years. Its the same game every time just with an updated roster and stats or whatever. But this is seriously a fresh look that this series needs. I think the haters are just being ridiculous, chill out. It looks good, and I'm sure it will be familiar enough to the older games, regardless of everything I think it will be. At its core it will probably be the same. So just buy it and stop your bitching.

There have been 3 perfect football games made in the history of videogames, Tecmo Super Bowl, NFL Blitz 20-03, and NFL 2K5. All of these games were simply killed by EA acquiring the sole rights to the NFL, something that they will probably never ever give up because it is such a cash printing machine. Madden 08 was a decent entry on Wii, I played it a lot and the local multiplayer modes (Like the 2v2 game and the rush/block minigame) were quite fun. The controls were spot on for the most part, and the game was solid.
I played Madden 09 once on the Wii, it was such a giant step backwards that I could not believe it. By making the game "All-Play", they made it 100 times more confusing with nigh impossible controls. I hope they can fix that with this game. Graphics don't really mean anything to me, never have. These gorillas on the field look hella wierd but if it plays well I don't really take issue, after all in Blitz everyone weighs 300 pounds and in Tecmo Bowl everyone is pixeled. Recently in my college apartment, Blitz 20-03 had about 300 games played on it from a mix of about 10 different people, in addition, Madden 08 had about a dozen. It was simply the fun factor, and Madden on Wii has not had it yet, I pray this is the year it can happen.

I agree, I actually LIKE the graphics on this! Looks great to me, love the style and fits the Wii.
and I really dug 07 on the Wii, too. Even though the motion controls were a bit tacked on, it still really added to the whole experience.
I'll be picking this one up for sure
