Monster Hunter 3 trailer hunted down, captured
It's not too much of a departure from previous Monster Hunters, but a new, nice-looking series entry, with new controls, new monsters, and new locations, is more than enough for obsessed fans. Check GAME Watch for some pictures of the limited-edition bundle (the one with the DVD, not the one with the Classic Controller Pro), to facilitate your coveting of the rather fancy box it comes in.

Hey, it's a dodongo.
This game kinda reminds me of Zelda, which is a good thing.
ChromeAlchemist @ May 14th 2009 5:44PM
I was starting to think I was the only one who thought of Dodongos every time I saw a four legged creature in a fiery cave.
But I'm not alone. Damn you Zelda! Or thank you, I don't really know at this point.

Wow, this looks really cool... I've never played a Monster Hunter game before. I hope this comes to NA...

Looks like Rathalos and Rathian will be making a come back. Crosses Fingers for the Elder Dragons too, great fun playing with buddy on HR6.
Until then, I'm stuck with Monster Hunter Freedom 2, which isn't a bad thing.

With my experience with the past Monster Hunter games...I gotta say looking pretty is about all it has going for it. Even on the PSP the MH games look remarkable. But no infrastructure destroyed the game in the west. (Even Pokemon has online). The game is frustrating, and not in a good way. I know it's meant for 4 people, but I'm just viewing the game from an Americans perspective, solo style.
Now that the game has online on Wii, maybe things will be better...and maybe they can throw in less frustrating gameplay while they are at it.

Never played any MONSTERS HUNTERS game but this look stunning!
Cant wait for it to be release in North America!

Does anybody else think hat the song sounded like music from the superman movies?
modnite @ May 14th 2009 5:01PM
So you noticed! I lol'd. I got one word for this trailer however: IMPRESSIVE!
ChromeAlchemist @ May 14th 2009 5:45PM
See I couldn't quite put my finger on it...
To me, it seemed like a cross between Superman and that similar kind of theme on Gundam Wing. Anyone who has seen the series will know what I'm talking about.

This game is going to HUGE !
Probably the futur Best seilling 3rd party game on Wii !
We can expect 2 millions copies just in Japan ( I think MH 2nd G made nearly 3 millions... on PSP !!! ).
With North America and Europe Capcom can easily ship the same amount.
Finally 1 contender to beat the 6 millions from Street Fighter 2 ( still the best seilling game from Capcom until today ) ?
YEP !!!!

I don't get it. Why do we have to kill these creatures?
modnite @ May 14th 2009 5:06PM
It wouldn't be called Monster Hunter otherwise. Besides, what else did armor-clad mythical warriors do anyway? Fight wars? Save princesses? Serve kings? Sure, but that stuff is boring. Give 'em a Dragon and they'll have at its wings.
Josh @ May 14th 2009 5:13PM
I need a reason to kill them.
It's just mindless violence otherwise, and I'm not so into that.
Seriously.
Tsubasa @ May 14th 2009 5:15PM
In the older games, the reason for missions where to hunt monsters because they were attacking travelers.
Josh @ May 14th 2009 5:26PM
Sounds boring.
SoshiKitai @ May 14th 2009 5:34PM
Because you get cool weapons and armor made from their skin and bones... then you eat the flesh or mix it with something to make you some kind of meal or ammo.
......... it's the armor and weapons really, at least, that's what got me sold on it.
TwEE @ May 14th 2009 5:17PM
I'm seeing seeing bird, reptile, fish, dragon, worm, and dinosaur like monsters, but no mammals or Muppets..
chriscanberg @ May 14th 2009 6:33PM
Looks awesome. Love these trailers.
