Gaijin Games offers help with Bit.Trip: Beat's hardcore save system

"The fact is, we discovered this bug after the US version of the game was in the queue for release," BTB designer Alex Neuse said. "This meant that those of us in the US were stuck with this issue. The Japanese and European versions that came after the US one do not share the same problem."
Even more surprising is the method Neuse has employed to rectify the bug -- he's offering his own save file, with all three levels unlocked, for download. You can just copy it over the save file on your Wii and actually see the second and third level for once! Neuse promises that "If you beat a level in CORE, the next level stays unlocked."

He actually revealed that in the comment section of last Friday's European Wii Shop update post here on Joystiq. :P

I would have sent anyone my save file, I unlocked all three. As I'm sure many, many others have as well.
first and second stages are EASY compared to the third.

Agreed. The first two levels *are* tough (I mean, this is a tough game), but the third level is ridiculous.
Even so, I thought it was a cool idea to only unlock the next level if you beat the previous one with a high enough score. Just makes it that much more 'hardcore.'

Has Nintendo not opened up Wii for game software updates / patching? Certainly WiiWare games should be able to be updated on the Shop Channel in a similar fashion to some VC games where you just re download.

At least one WiiWare game has gotten an update. My Pokemon Ranch.
