Penguin United's new Wii gun doesn't need a Wiimote

Penguin's CrossFire Remote Pistol is a Wii Zapper alternative that doesn't require a separate Wiimote. While most Wii guns are merely shells with levers to push the B button, this one is a completely self-contained Wiimote, with an integrated speaker.
The final unit probably won't have jaggies -- this is a product render Penguin sent to us. The device will be available for testing at E3 next month.

I am all for this. It will probably perform better.
Also, it can be a pain in the ass switching Wiimotes in and out of guitars, guns, steering wheels, baseball bats, tennis raquets, golf clubs, hockey sticks, fishing rods, light sabers, swords, nunchucks, hotdog holders, katanas, baseball gloves, megaphones, pencils, pocket protectors, tape dispensers, water noodles, sewing needles, telephones, unicorns, hunting bows, darts, etc.
...I think I made my point.

Personally, I prefer to leave my Wiimotes in my unicorn. And we've agreed that it's probably better that way.

While it's annoying taking them in and out of shells at least you don't have to re-sync them.

Now only if we can get a REAL Wii Wheel.

Was that rendered on a Wii?

Good heavens. Learn how to use the 'blur' filter at least, guys.

Doesn't look half bad. Plus, if it works well, it'll ease the pain of hving to swap the Wiimote in and out of numerous silly plastic shells.
Now all we need is for BandiNamco to release ports/remakes of Time Crisis 1-3 (and maybe Crisis Zone), and I'll be perfectly happy.

Is it me, or does that thing look like a GunCon 2?
