Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles features dynamic difficulty
For those of you planning to relive the horrors of Claire and Leon's jaunt through Raccoon City in Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, know that Capcom has confirmed the game will have a dynamic, sliding scale difficulty, Siliconera reports. Depending on how well you're blasting zombie skulls and putting down lunging dogs, the game will ramp up the difficulty or, should you find yourself nothing more than a walking, talking snack for the many undead frequenting this once sleepy mountain town, the game will ease back and give you a fighting chance.
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is scheduled for release this winter.

Um.. neato?
Mics @ Apr 30th 2009 12:13PM
Okay cool. But more importantly, will it also feature real-time weapon change?
CJLopez @ Apr 30th 2009 2:59PM
yep, RE5 style
also, you'll be able to buy new ones or upgrade them.
CJLopez @ Apr 30th 2009 3:00PM
and when i mean Re5 style is that you set them on different d-pad direction, same goes for herbs
dv8thwonder @ Apr 30th 2009 1:01PM
Better than the original?
I hope
No multiplayer?
That could be a problem.
TwEE @ Apr 30th 2009 2:40PM
Wait what?.. Multiplayer is still there isnt it?
Mduck @ Apr 30th 2009 2:51PM
yes. it does include multiplayer :D
if you pay attention to previous RE:tdc videos, you can see two players aiming at some zombies
dark.saian @ Apr 30th 2009 1:32PM
@dv8thwonder: A rail shooter with no multiplayer? You really believe what you said?
Anyway, I was wondering something about this game. If I do nothing at all, will my AI controlled partner shoot every monster since they truly can act in this sequel?

I love the Resident Evil games... especially RE4, but I'm just not that great at them. I keep trying though.
jONEz @ Apr 30th 2009 1:39PM
This just keeps getting better and better! Dynamic difficulty should increase the replay factor substantially. Color me impressed!

Left2Biohazard?
(Seriously... this sounds like the Director in L4D.)
CJLopez @ Apr 30th 2009 3:01PM
and the directors of L4D sounded like Shinji Mikami when L4D was announced (Shinji Mikami was the director of RE4)
Robert @ Apr 30th 2009 4:32PM
Sounds like Left 4 Dead. Should be sweet if so.
