The 'Wii Riiser Aerobic Step' for ... the Wii Balance Board

From the folks that brought you ... erm ... a bunch of case mods for the Xbox 360, comes the "Wii Riiser Aerobic Step" for your Wii Fit Balance Board. Just in case you were unsatisfied with the heights that the existing step peripheral offered, Zoozen has gone out and created an attachment to boost the level up to a more challenging four inches.

The company contests this is the average height of an actual stepper (which we won't point out also costs significantly less than the Wii Fit and "Wii Riiser Aerobic Step" combined), and as such, will help "improve your step aerobic workout." While we're sure this peripheral would attach to your Balance Board that much easier than two pieces of equally sized wood, we're not so sure it would serve a different purpose. Zoozen's "Wii Riiser Aerobic Step" is available now for the not-so-nice price of $39.99.

thank god we have hardwood floors, if we had thick carpet the wife would want this.

wii peripherals are out of hand, not so bad now, but overall - out of hand.

This one at least has a practical purpose, but I guess you could do the same thing with... a concrete block.

Well, we still haven't gotten to the level where we're playing with controllers shaped like Katanas and Chainsaws, so we're still better off than the PS2.

I don't see how this is needed, just get some books or something and put under your Wii Fit balance board and it should be good to go

I was at TRU the other day for a massive sale. While waiting in line I was approached by several mothers who asked, do I need all this stuff? The thing that gets me most is the "Wii Essentials Starter Pack" which includes a sensor bar and a bunch of useless soft sided remote attatchments for 50 bucks. The one mom was surprised to discover that half the stuff was already included in the $250 box o wii she was also about to buy.

Someone should step up and put and end to all these useless peripherals. You might say that this is just another step in the wrong direction. Whoever created this should step down from their position.

The expanded audience of the Wii has lulled many people into thinking that said audience is willing to spend foolishly for the Wii. Maybe we think it's foolish for our grandma's and aunts to buy Wii's in the first place, so of course they'll pay $40 to raise their board 4". I highly doubt any of my older and/or female acquaintances owning a Wii would find placing something flat under the board unacceptable and the next best alternative to be a $40 X made of plastic.
