Rare autographed Nintendo swag up for bid
Collectors, listen up: One Nintendo-loving eBay user has dug through his/her Nintendo collection and decided to give up a few rare (and autographed) collectibles. Included in the auction are four gold and black N64 controllers (won during a Star Fox tournament) signed by legendary developer Shigeru Miyamoto and ex-Nintendo president Minoru Arakawa. The auction also includes a copy of Next Generation magazine signed by Miyamoto and Arakawa as well as former Nintendo executives Howard Lincoln, Peter Main and others.
It isn't the sexiest auction available but at $21.48 (as of press time) it may be the cheapest way to grab classic Nintendo autographs... or at least a half-dozen N64 controllers.
[Thanks, Charles P.]

Man, I would love to have that. This is one of those many times that I wish I had money.

-_- I'll never understand why someone would want another person's signature on something OTHER than a legal document. I'd rather have a perfectly good N64 controller without some stranger's chicken-scratch handwriting all over it. And before you ask, no I don't care that it's from famous Nintendo execs, and no I'm not a fanboy from some other rival company hating on Nintendo. I just think autographs are meaningless, and that it's stupid that people are willing to pay more for something somebody signed.

Do you also not like photographs? God man, where's your humanity? =P

Autographs are used to prove one has met the person it belongs to, which isn't very good proof since one can gain the autographed item from someone else...

-_- How exactly does a photograph compare to a autograph, your not throwing it out there just cause it sounds alike, riiight? I'm sure I'm still human, even though I didn't freak out at the thought of owning a N64 controller signed by Mr. Miyamoto. Although for those who DO freak out, they might be considered to be on other-side of the gene pool by select individuals, we all know some people think fanboys are cut from a different cloth altogether. (sry if ur offended that I took ur humor sooo literal)
@Rallor
Yea, it isn't good prove, there's also the fact that someone can just fake the celebs signature and rip you off, yea it's forgery, but it's not like you'll know about it.
I don't really care whether it's prove you've a met celeb either. Shigeru Miyamoto could come over to my house to play SSBB, and I STILL wouldn't want him to soil my perfectly nice Wii, with his admittedly nice signature(yes that sounded weird to me too). Though I would have to ask him, why he hasn't tried using his magic to get Mother 1 & 3 officially translated and released on VC or DSiware. Or...how about helping the creators of inchworm ds find a publisher, so I can has an awesome official ds paint app with DSi functionality.
