This week is like a punch to the face if you're a fan of the Virtual Console. Wonder Boy is back ... for the millionth time and, oh, look, I get to play it again! Yay! Sarcasm.

Wonderboy not so wonderful.

There's really only one other version of this particular entry in the Wonder Boy series, though, right? Monster Lair for the TGCD? The others are still technically different games, aren't they? Not that two versions of the same game isn't one too many. :P If they're going to release only one VC game per week, it should be something that isn't already on there.

When you deal with so much Wonder Boy, they kind of blur together. *shrug*

Yep, this is "only" one of two versions of Wonder Boy III on VC, with the other being the TG16 CD version.
Other duplicate Wonder Boy games: Wonder Boy on SMS (which is also Adventure Island on NES), Wonder Boy in Monster World on Genesis (also The Dynastic Hero on TG16 CD).

I expect we'll finally get Majora's Mask when we get to game #300, right now we're at #296. So another four weeks unless we get a week where Nintendo actually decides to release more than just one game.

this is one of my 10 fave genesis games, and like someone said, only one other version is available. as a poor kid i never created any turbografx 16 memories, so this version is very welcome as far as i'm concerned... i'd def recommend to anyone who hasn't played it. the action/rpg styled one is awesome too, pt 5 i think?
