Atlus releases trailer for 101-in-1 game compilation
Although the concept has dubious origins, this is no Chinatown bootleg scheme. The first trailer released by Atlus today shows some solid concepts, all taking advantage of the DS' touch screen. With a price tag of $20, the odds are good that at least one of the hundred plus games should warrant a purchase. Right?

Right... still doesn't sound like atlus at all, but hey, if getting some of the casual money is what it takes to keep bringing those lovable niche games, well... than you won't hear any bitching on my part!

Well, maybe not... But this is Atlus after all, so many might be actually good. I'll try.

Sheesh, even the first WarioWare didn't have that many (micro)games. This is a pretty bold move on Atlus' part--I wonder if it's being made in-house?

Do not purchase this game. It is terrible. As much as I love Atlus, this game was clearly a mistake. It is not worth your money.

A 68 on Metacritic isn't terribly good.
Mind you, it's based on only 4 reviews, and that 68 probably skews the average. The other scores are 40, 60, and 60.
I'm curious to see what more reviews say.

It doesn't look any worse than games like Touchmaster or Clubhouse Games and people seem to go ga-ga over them two

I'd buy it just to play curling =O

Woah, woah, easy with the Clubhouse Games comments; that one's a great game, my favorite out of my 223 DS games; that's saying something. It's perfect; single and multiplayer gaming perfection on the go.
Anywho, I watched the trailer and I'm sure a whole bunch of the games should be really fun to play; I was very interested, and when I saw the $20 price tag, I was sold; I'm buying this!

any atlus fans should know by now that even they churn out some crap now and again (deep Labyrinth anyone?) but hey can't knock them for getting in on the supersaturated casual gaming market

I'm not a big fan of mini game collections, but they can be nice if I have 5-20 minutes to waste. The only one I own is chocobo tales which is alright, I like the card battle more than the mini games, but the mini games are decent, and I'm a sucker for the cute little chocobo. I'm planning to buy Clubhouse games just for the multiplayer some time this year (when the DS games stop flooding and my poor wallet can breath). I love Atlus, but I just don't see myself picking this one up, since two mini game collections are probably more than enough for me. :(

At the very least, it can't be any worse than Wii Play. Or, like, those bootleg "150 gamez!" cartridges for the NES. Anyone remember those?
