PopCap following Peggle: Dual Shot with DS Bookworm, Bejeweled Twist

The company told Forbes that it is planning DS versions of Bejeweled Twist, the latest iteration of its hit block puzzle game, and Bookworm, a block/word puzzle game about creating words from fallen tiles, for release this holiday season. No specifics were given, but these two small, casual puzzle games would certainly be killer apps for DSiWare.

There is a really cool home brew game out there called Word Up that is very similar to Bookworm. Bonus points for Word Up being free and available now.

Saaaay, Bejeweled Twist *is* the kind of thing that would make sense with a DSiWare release. One of those games you play on a cell phone between classes and whatnot. Only... DS style, oooo~ Very interesting, yo.

Yeah, I really wouldn't want to pay a full $20-30 price tag for simple puzzle games. DSiWare seems like a good platform for games like this.

Bookworm was awesome! Too soon to tell if I'd actually buy it though.
