Take-Two announces Don King Boxing for Wii, DS (again)
Fans of punching and trying to dodge the punches of others, your day has come: Take-Two has announced Don King Boxing for both the Wii and DS. Sure, the company announced the game way back in 2007, but we had no idea the game was actually still in production until we received a slight update last month. Now, Take-Two is finally getting around to reminding us about the pugilistic title's existence with a release date, new screens, and a new trailer.
The game is set for release on March 31 for both DS and Wii, with the latter version supporting Nintendo's Balance Board peripheral. After watching the above trailer, we have to say we're pretty interested in the game. You see, one of our more darker pleasures in life is punching people in the face. We like to do it in video games because, well, it saves us from going to jail.

I feel as if I'm the only one in the world who loves Wii Sports Boxing, once you figure out how to control your gloves properly it becomes highly intuitive and addicting, it's very much like controlling a marionette. I'm hoping that the controls for Don King Boxing are similar, if not exactly the same as Wii Boxing.

You're not the only one, I love it. I suck at it, but I love it.
I'll get it if it's bundled with the balance board, as I don't want to have to pay $99 for Wii Fit.

I'm More Excited for Punch Out

The balance board seems a bit awkward to use. Your feet have to be a lot closer together than in a normal boxing stance. They are also parallel to the tv when they would be spread more front to back in a normal stance.

As long as I get to play a shady tax-evading promoter, I'm down.

This is why I rarely buy games for my Wii and why I think the Wii is a gimmick. Don't get me wrong Wii has some awesome games and some games work well with the Wii controls. But here we have a good example of what's wrong with the Wii. Wii Sports Boxing, this, Punch-Out...all play exactly the same way and even look similar with maybe a few tweaks here and there...it's stupid. The Wii is very limited it it's intuitive and innovatiate areas and all games kinda feel the same on the Wii.
