How does one make a House of the Dead?

In all seriousness, Gamekyo has uploaded a nice behind-the-scenes video for Sega's upcoming on-rails shooter, House of the Dead: Overkill. Among the usual things one finds in these types of videos (pillow fights, for example) are gameplay snippets and poignant gaming discussion from the dev behind the game. The folks behind the scenes say a lot of the right things: "You don't want to offend the fans of the series," and "Gamers are gamers, it doesn't matter where you come from, shoot a mutant in the face and it's great." Nothing is ever fun anymore when DS Fanboy is gone. I don't want any Wii news intermingled with my precious DS news. And I want the old style back.

We're working on it right now. I'm told that it shouldn't take too long to implement, but you guys just need to be a little patient. We just relaunched a huge, new site. We're doing our best to catalog everything that needs to be changed right now, then you'll start to see things corrected like falling dominoes. One after the other.

Okay, I absolutely LOVE that line at the end of the vid clip. Where he's talking about working on such a famous (and apparently one of his favorite) franchises. Love how he says "you'll see it on the screen...House of the Dead...Headstrong games...and across the bottom WE ARE DAMN AWESOME." That's just about right. :) Can't wait for Overkill!
