Of all the games and minigames released as part of Nintendo's early DSiWare lineup in Japan, the star is an unlikely little program called Ugoku Memo-chou, or Moving Memo Pad. The cute drawing program allows users to create animations and add sound -- and, most importantly, to put those animations on the Internet to share with their friends and the community at large.
Does the idea of (basically) a hand-drawn YouTube appeal to you? We've sort of gauged your relative interest in the DSi hardware previously, but what do you think about this program? Useless fluff or a genuine killer app? Or just fun?
Yes Please, total day one purchase - just hope im as good at drawing as the ones that ive seen, makes the dsi good enough to buy, i would really spend ages messing with this - total yes from me!!!
I may be wrong, but to me, this looks exactly like Flickbook or Animanatee (both already accessible for homebrew users, without the cost of 190... if you'd buy something just for this, spend 70 dollars on a Cyclo+memory card, and you may be able to access even more unique programs like this one... instantly, without months of delay)
I would never imply that Animanatee or Flickbook are not awesome, because they soooo are. This has Game Boy Camera-esque integration with the DSi camera, however, and the awesome Hatena site, which distinguish it quite a bit.

I'd get a DSi just for this and other creative DSiWare titles.
Unfortunately, my wallet disagrees with me.

Homebrew is legal.
Say it with me now: HOMEBREW. IS. LEGAL.
Downloading games you do not own is not legal. But that's not homebrew, is it?

yes. looks like a lot of fun. BUT I won't buy a DSi just for this one program, if there's more of them I just might cave it :P
