I still play mine occasionally. Mostly when friends come over, but even then, a lot of the time we end up playing Guitar Hero.
TracerBullet @ Jan 14th 2009 8:30AM
Yesterday.
I try to put at least half an hour of tennis/boxing per day.

I do the little workout thing everyday. Wii SPorts is perfect to show off the system to non-gamers. So far, it's a keeper.
Azsro @ Jan 14th 2009 8:39AM
Only when with other people around.
Normally, its the "system seller". You have friends around, they never played a wii (they never heard about it - at least my friends do). Its the game to show.
Alone? Never...

I actually just played it for the first time in a while last night. Wanted to used it for a little workout time.
nitte @ Jan 14th 2009 10:53AM
Whenever friends come along! We always end up playing some 2on2 in tennis. :)
Antonio @ Jan 14th 2009 8:51AM
I can't remember the last time I played Wii Sports. I always get bored with the game 10 minutes into play time. Even when I have guests over I don't suggest it.
bukizzle715 @ Jan 14th 2009 9:10AM
I don't play it at home anymore. But it is a riot at the bar with wasted people everywhere.
guttertalk @ Jan 14th 2009 9:31AM
We haven't played in several months, but I picked it back up during the holidays, and we have been playing it. Combined with Wii Fit, the boxing and tennis are actually a nice change in gaming exercise. (While I once mocked this, I now would heartily defend it.)
Once February and the big Wii games start rolling out, however, that might change.

We play Wii sports when we have friends over. Its very social and we can pull in adults that would otherwise say no to more standard games. Add usually, its Wii Bowling.
So, yeah, we play it weekly.
samfish @ Jan 14th 2009 10:19AM
I haven't played it in a while, but I couldn't imagine ever getting rid of it, either.
Melao @ Jan 14th 2009 10:51AM
I play when my friends come over. other than that I find it boring.
Sisyphus @ Jan 14th 2009 10:54AM
I used to play it on rare occasions for the golf, but Tiger Woods '09 completely destroys it so it hasn't been played in months.
rodjoh @ Jan 14th 2009 11:01AM
Wii Sports is pretty much the definition of the Wii experience to a lot of people... can't ever get rid of it.
Basil St. Cecil @ Jan 14th 2009 11:06AM
I haven't played it in a few weeks, actually, due to an onslaught of new game arrivals :D
But I still dig it. I dig all of the games in it, actually, and I would never consider selling it.
And now, in honor of this article, and accompanying thread, I'm going to play a little WiiSports baseball . . . whilst wearing my 2008 World Series Champions Philadelphia Phillies hoodie, of course. :D

I hadn't played it in quite a while, but I actually played some Wii Tennis last night with my husband. (His score in that game is like 2600 or something. His line is floating above the chart. xD)
I wouldn't sell it just because it's not a bad game and I don't sell games unless they're terrible.
Deozaan @ Jan 14th 2009 2:16PM
I last played it within the past week (last Friday). I don't play it solo, but when there are others interested in playing, I'll play along too.
juangrande386 @ Jan 14th 2009 2:24PM
sold mine for $40 on ebay and never looked back. nintendo needs to release a NEW mario tennis and mario golf (not gamecube ports) since we have soccer and baseball already and punchout is coming.
Mickey @ Jan 14th 2009 7:17PM
I played it the day after new years with my wife and haven't played it since. I will take it to youth night at my church in a few weeks though.
EdgeOne @ Jan 14th 2009 10:15PM
To Sport! Bowling and Tennis ROCK
camera_stooge @ Jan 14th 2009 11:30PM
Never gonna sell it! Like others have said here, it's the system seller. It's a tech demo. It's a fun party game! (Played it at Christmas with my cousins ... four-player bowling rocks!)
yung_gamers255 @ Jan 15th 2009 7:13AM
My entire family still plays Wii Sports! even today. Also it's worth it just for a few exercise with tennis, bowling, boxing.
wiilover @ Jan 18th 2009 10:23PM
I use the training modes (especially boxing the key is to keep moving or running while you do whatever asked) to work out and they are very effective. You can feel the burn! I also use it to play with friends and I believe the only person who could ever come close to beating me in tennis is Shigeru Miyamoto
