Bowser gets starring role in Mario & Luigi 3
Mario & Luigi 3 won't just limit you to playing as the titular plumbers -- you'll also spend part of the game in control of arch-nemesis Bowser.Typically for the series, this turn of events comes about in wacky fashion, with Mario and Luigi finding themselves trapped inside Bowser (after he inhales them, à la Lord Jabu-Jabu), and able to affect the Koopa King's actions directly by the work they carry out within him. Excellently, Bowser (who is controlled with X and Y, as opposed to A and B) has a special attack that sees a small army of Goombas charge enemies.
These delightful details featured in the latest Nintendo Power, along with a basic synopsis of the story. Apparently, Mario and Luigi are searching for a cure to a disease that has swept through the Mushroom Kingdom, causing its denizens to balloon in size -- which explains those obese Toads.

Must... Buy... Second Game... First......
I loved the first one, never had the cash to buy the second. Still haven't finished Thousand Year Door(Paper Mario).

The second game is pretty disappointing compared to the first one, but still good. Hopefully the third is much better though.

Yeah, for some reason the second one really didn't do it for me, and this is coming from someone who considers Superstar Saga to be one of his all-time favorite games. Still, it wasn't a bad game by any means, and this third game is undoubtedly going to be one of my favorite games of 2009.

In the wise words of Austin Powers, "Yeah baby!" But does anyone else notice that Mario and Luigi side-scroll in the screen-shots? At least we know it still has turn-based battles, so it's not Super Paper Mario DS. Don't get me wrong! I loved the game, I just want to see more Mario RPGs.

There hasn't been a Mario RPG that I haven't liked, and Bowser has always been an awesome character in them.
I just hope Fawful is in it somewhere.
