Wii Warm Up: Will Sega tap out?

We suspect, however, that the game was submitted for rating before the disastrous Japanese launch. Will Sega follow through on their plan to localize Let's Tap for other territories, now that it's already proven itself to be a bomb once? Or will they cut their losses? And would it be a terrible decision for Sega to try their luck outside of Japan?

I think this could do moderately well over here if the title released at the 'right' price point, and Sega properly demonstrate what the Tapping is all about.
Seeing as there's no brand name - Sonic - people maybe reluctant to take the plunge. So will SOA/E get behind this game and give it a real push, or will they throw it out silently to the wolves, ala Yakuza 2, Valkyrie Chronicles, Samba. It could be the next Raving Rabbids, you know.

If they sell it for 30 dollars, it may become a hit.
Its a nice game, but there´s not enough content to justify a full price.
One of the games is a "visualizer", where you do nothing more than watch fireworks or a sumi-ê being drawn as you tap. The fun on this mode lasts for 5 seconds.

I'm not interested in a tappin minigame collection... doesn't seem like it'd be fun for too long.
I dunno why they bothered really.

Because the game's not just for you. :P

never said it was.
But I'd like to hear from more people that would find such thing appealing.

It's not like it costs a lot of money to localize a title. It would likely do more to ensure that they make their money back on the title and then some to bring it to other territories, rather than let it be in Japan only.
I know I'd buy it, at least. I don't mind minigames so long as they're quality which, by all accounts, Let's Tap is.

I'm shocked it sold so few. It should have been a hit in Japan. Maybe it's stuck with the same feelings that I have about games like Boom Blox, that it should have been a WiiWare game, and not a full fledged, boxed game.

Perhaps the lack of interest in this blog post might be a good indicator as to how it might do in other regions.

Moose, are you new to Wiifanboy? 7 Comments is rather hopping at times.

Hey, you have to admit, that sometimes, there's just not much to say. I guess it just shows that sometimes the post does not need embellishing because it's so grand. No point in gilding the lilly.
