Underwater monster hunting
No, this is not a hyperviolent sequel to Endless Ocean (though that might be kind of awesome, until PETA got wind of it and freaked out), but rather a little underwater adventuring -- or hunting, if you will -- in Monster Hunter 3 (tri-). In these latest screens, our dear Hunter is faced with an underwater beast of epic proportions that might just be a very large, distant, and pissed-off cousin to the electric eel. There's lightning, anyway. And teeth. Big, sharp, point teeth.

You didn't add them to the gallery, if that was your intent
chriscanberg @ Jan 10th 2009 4:36PM
I can't get over how incredible this game looks (and I'm sorry initially for saying this) for a Wii game. I mean this game's invironment just looks fantastic.
Yeah and its gunna be fun too. haha
esposch @ Jan 10th 2009 4:56PM
Isn't this a PS2 port?
Or was that Monster Hunter G?
Suichimo @ Jan 10th 2009 8:04PM
You're thinking of G. This is the newest game in the franchise.
McManus @ Jan 11th 2009 4:51AM

This is second only to the conduit.

I've put off playing Monster Hunter 2 Freedom, but now that I've started playing it, I don't know what I was afraid of before. Can't wait for Monster Hunter 3, it's first on my 2009 list.
Josh @ Jan 10th 2009 8:19PM
I've never played a Monster Hunter game before, but I've been following and anticipating this one for a while.
We just need confirmation of a North American release...
Shadow31 @ Jan 10th 2009 9:11PM
Now this is nice. One of the few Wii games this year I'm looking forward to. Hopefully it turns out as good as I'm expecting. By the way, a release date yet? And does this have multiplayer or online of any sort?
Suichimo @ Jan 10th 2009 10:52PM
Two player split screen local, and up to 4 players online.
mr nimblewick @ Jan 11th 2009 12:58AM
Why does your posted date on the pictures go day/month/year format? THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M USED TO, WIIFANBOY!
Anti-Villian @ Jan 11th 2009 3:17AM
Suck it up sunshine, did that really justify a comment?
MD @ Jan 11th 2009 6:58PM
Anti-Villian, what's your problem? I found his post rather hilarious!
Anti-Villian @ Jan 11th 2009 12:06PM
I just found it rather ignorant is all.
erico316 @ Jan 11th 2009 3:56AM
i love monster hunter games .this game does not beyond on this system at all.i remember all the most hunter games had been about the online and the wii isn't the best for it.they need to port this game to the psp or ps3 or even 360 they all have a suitable online system to support this game.
Nintendo fan boys dont take this as a jab at the wii take it as a jab at it bad online system.
beyond that graphics are great.
SoshiKitai @ Jan 11th 2009 5:13AM
Not 360... PS3.
360's large group of gamers don't appreciate something like Monster Hunter. PS3 on the other hand, would.
PSP? ...nah, I'd rather have a completely new version that needs a large system in order to add everything.
...as for the Wii's online. I do agree, but let's see it first. It might prove us wrong.
Anti-Villian @ Jan 11th 2009 7:00AM
They online system nintendo has provided may suck but that's not stopping them from doing there own thing, it's there choice whether or not to use friend codes.
intro94 @ Jan 11th 2009 1:17PM
i think you havent played enough online wii games.COD, CJ, FIFA 09, MOH have perfect online, smoth and clean. And plenty more. Some laggy games on PS3 dont make ps3 online ruined ,isnt it?Well is the same.I think this urban myth was raised up by the crappy Brawl.
meist3r @ Jan 12th 2009 5:58AM
THIS is what Wii games should look like. I still feel kinda neglected by the other studios that they can't seem to produce such quality.
