Let's Tap down under
A rating for Yuji Naka's latest project, Let's Tap, has popped up on the OLFC and would appear to indicate the title is destined for an Aussie release. Seeing as how we haven't heard anything on a North American or European release, this is likely going to be good news to folks outside of Australia. If Sega plans to localize the game down under, there's a very good chance that those of us who are looking forward to tapping away with the quirky title will get a chance to.

I'll be honest, what's so exciting about this game? why is it getting any hype at all?

Have you seen the peripheral it comes with?
That's worth $50 on its own!

xD Haha, no but seriously, this game is exactly what everyone is complaining about, a cheap, crap grapics, mini-game set using dodgy motion gimmicks to sell.

Gimmicky, mini-games, yep definitely something to complain about since that's all we get.
But for me...
1. The controls may be a gimmick, but they aren't crap... unlike most Wii games out there, this was said to be pretty accurate. And accuracy makes gimmicky controls FUN. :P
2. Minigames may suck, but how many of us bought the billions of titles of minigames out there? We complain about them all the time, but we really own like 2 or 3. Unless of course, you were sucker-punched. -well unlike all those crappy minigames, this is something rather new. And while most minigames fall down the drain of "Oh....greeeaaat, another one", this one's actually pretty different from the rest in style and gameplay.
With those two there, I'd be more than willing to give this game a try.
Everyone can complain about it, but IS IT worth complaining about really?
You're not gonna' get it, and it won't encourage repetitive mimicked minigames (well, not the same kind at least), so it's something you could just brush underneath the bed and never care ever again.
...now if you hear about Zack & Wiki minigame galore, then you have SEVERAL reasons to complain (for obvious reasons). :P

I don't see the appeal but I understand your points, I see this as not quite as bad as the rest but it's still a gimmicky minigame.
I still view this as a game that shouldn't be supported as it's not doing anything for the market.
For the record, the only minigames I have are wiisports and big beach sports, both came free with my wii, never played either after I bought my first game. (I suppose wiifit counts)

The game in the screenshot in this article looks really cool. I forget the name of it but if I ever play this game (which I'm sure I will eventually) it'll be for that one game.
Tap Race or Let's Race or something?

I actually love the game, I imported it because I didn't think it would come to the US. It's good to play in short bursts though :)

I hope this game is released at the 'appropriate' price.
Really glad this is getting a Western release, the shoddy Japanese sales did put some doubt in my mind.
